This role focuses on generating leads, developing new business, and ensuring seamless communication between shippers and carriers. Key Responsibilities:
• Generate and qualify leads to build a robust pipeline of shipper and carrier prospects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to secure business opportunities.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Provide accurate shipping quotes and book freight orders with carriers.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure successful load management and delivery.
• Monitor freight market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing shipment updates.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient with freight management software and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: An existing book of business or the ability to onboard freight within 15-30 days of starting.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
