Northpass Freight Logistics is seeking a Freight Dispatcher to coordinate freight transportation and ensure smooth operations for shippers and carriers. This role is integral to our success, requiring exceptional organizational skills and industry knowledge to manage logistics efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and dispatch freight loads, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and shippers to monitor the status of shipments.
• Use load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to post available loads and secure carrier partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with carriers to ensure ongoing collaboration and reliability.
• Track and document shipment details, resolving any issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Provide regular updates to customers, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in freight dispatching or logistics coordination.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, load boards, and dispatch software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management tools.
• High school diploma required; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are a plus.
