As part of our team, you’ll work on-site at our Hilmar, CA location, playing a critical role in connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring freight moves efficiently, and providing exceptional service to clients. Key Responsibilities:
Dispatching Operations:
• Coordinate and dispatch freight using load boards to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Manage high-volume operations in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with carriers and shippers to foster trust and collaboration.
• Monitor driver compliance with DOT regulations and company policies, resolving issues proactively.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and stakeholders.
Freight Brokerage:
• Generate leads, attract new prospects, and develop a sales pipeline.
• Secure reputable and safe carriers for freight services while negotiating competitive rates.
• Provide shipping quotes, book orders with carriers, and prepare carriers for loads.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, shippers, and drivers to manage schedules, collections, and drop-offs.
• Maintain current knowledge of market trends and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 2+ years in freight dispatching, freight brokerage, or a related logistics role.
• Industry Expertise: Familiarity with load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.), DOT regulations, freight market trends, and operational compliance.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
• Problem Solving: Excellent critical thinking and multitasking skills in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and dispatching software.
• Sales & Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet sales targets.
• Preferred: An established book of business and the ability to onboard freight within 15-30 days of starting.
